This month, we spotlight ESEO alumni whose recent achievements reflect the richness and diversity of career paths within our community. From promoting diversity in STEM to driving the energy transition, strengthening local ecosystems, and sharing leadership insights, these graduates illustrate how an ESEO background can lead to impact in many different ways, well beyond traditional engineering roles.
Clarisse GIRAULT (ESEO 2017), Embedded Systems Engineer at Evolis, was recently featured in the “Science XXelles” initiative led by the organization Femmes & Sciences. This program highlights women scientists in the Pays de la Loire region to promote diversity in STEM and inspire future generations.
Through her role, Clarisse develops embedded software powering smart card printers used for identification systems such as banking, student, and ID cards. Her participation in this initiative reflects both her technical expertise and her commitment to encouraging more women to pursue careers in science and engineering.
Matthieu GUESNÉ (ESEO 2005), founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Lhyfe, recently saw his company selected for the Impact 120, a leading index recognizing France’s most impactful startups.

Mathieu LENOIR (ESEO 2003), Site Director at Obexto, recently announced the opening of a new agency in Beaucouzé, marking a meaningful return to the Angers region nearly 23 years after graduating from ESEO.
iAfter taking over the leadership of Obexto in September, Mathieu is now focused on strengthening local support and proximity with clients, highlighting both the company’s growth and his continued connection to the ESEO ecosystem.
Thibaud LE SÉGUILLON (ESEO 1988), CEO at Industrya, recently shared his insights on corporate governance in a podcast alongside Anne Wautier. In this exchange, he emphasized the strategic role of boards of directors in supporting growth, highlighting that they should be seen not as constraints but as powerful decision-making tools. Drawing from his own experience, he discussed the importance of focusing board time on strategy rather than reporting, and the need for leadership teams to evolve as companies scale. His contribution offers valuable perspectives for entrepreneurs and executives navigating governance challenges.
ESEO is incredibly proud of these alumni and their great accomplishments.
These alumni showcase the many ways ESEO graduates contribute to society, through innovation, leadership, and engagement at every level. Whether influencing global challenges, supporting local development, or inspiring the next generation, they embody a shared mindset: combining technical expertise with purpose and impact in everything they do.
