This month’s alumni spotlight is all about bold choices, unexpected paths, and the freedom to reinvent yourself after ESEO. From board game design to hybrid retail spaces and international tech leadership, these graduates prove that an engineering background doesn’t limit your future—it expands it. Their careers reflect creativity, resilience, and the courage to build something truly unique.

Aliénor SIMON--GUSCHEMANN (ESEO 2020) & Quentin PILLOT (ESEO 2019), co-founders of the creative studio Les Ingérables, have just launched the pre-order campaign for Zoïko, their first public board game, on Ulule.

Zoïko is a fast, beautifully illustrated card game designed to raise awareness about biodiversity by letting players build and protect their own ecosystems. With its educational value, eco-responsible production, and strong early support, the game reflects their mission to make science fun, engaging, and accessible to all.

Their path is a bold and original one—far from traditional engineering—but shows how ESEO alumni can reinvent themselves, bridging science, creativity, and education in impactful new ways.

Anne-Sophie BOUTEILLER (ESEO 2016), Anne-Sophie Bouteiller (ESEO alumna) was recently featured on the JUNKO podcast, where she shared the personal and professional journey behind launching Archibald, her hybrid concept store in Rennes combining a tea salon, casual dining, and interior design.

After leaving a secure career in MedTech consulting, she chose to follow her intuition and build a space that reflects her values and creativity. In the episode, she speaks candidly about the emotional challenges of entrepreneurship, the freedom it brings, and the deep transformation it sparked in her life.

Her story stands out as she moved away from engineering to explore a more personal and creative path—proving that after ESEO, reinvention is always possible!

Her journey is a compelling example of resilience, boldness, and the courage to start from scratch.

As President of Technology & Innovation at EDGE, he brings over 15 years of global leadership in defense tech, cybersecurity, and scientific research. With 200+ publications and major roles at EDGE, ANSSI, and top UAE institutions, his career reflects deep impact and innovation.

His mentorship highlights a commitment to empowering the next generation of Moroccan tech leaders—another mark of excellence from the ESEO community.

ESEO is incredibly proud of these alumni and their great accomplishments.

These stories break the mold. Whether through creative entrepreneurship, social impact, or high-level innovation, these alumni show that ESEO isn’t just a path to engineering—it’s a launchpad for anything. From game design to global defense strategy, their journeys inspire us to think bigger, explore more, and embrace the unexpected.
